Hotel Review: Retro Chic at The Sinclair, An Autograph Collection Hotel

After a long day of walking around downtown Fort Worth and revisiting some of our favorite spots- we finally arrived at The Sinclair hotel around 6 pm and ready to unwind, have dinner, and take in some rooftop views.

This Sinclair hotel offers a unique accommodations experience. Even from the exterior of the hotel, you can tell that it’s a special place for an overnight stay.

It's located downtown making it ideal for business travelers. However, it is also well-located making it easy for travelers to explore the city.

Eclectic and chic design is brought to every square meter of the hotel with moody colors, rich textures, and vintage details in the form of furniture and art.

The front lobby was a sultry and glam space, completely decorated with art deco pieces! I was warmly greeted by the front reception staff who were always very helpful and friendly throughout my stay.

The stunning decor doesn’t end at the lobby. Every floor, hallway, nook and cranny of The Sinclair has its own special flair.

Welcome to our room 🗝

This room was such a treat to begin with! Walking in you notice the wall mounted screen that controlled all the smart switch settings, from mood lighting (yes romantic was an option and it dimmed the lights), to automatic blinds closing in or out. All at your control!

This room has one of the best hotel bathrooms I've been in; a smart walk-in shower set among striking marble elements, complete with strong water pressure from the multiple shower heads (have you ever encountered a hotel with weak water pressure? Definitely do not recommend). The sleek and modern touch contrasted cooly with the vintage vibes throughout the rooms.

Dinner: Wicked Butcher 🍸

Wicked Butcher, the hotel's upscale restaurant is open for brunch, lunch and dinner offering a delicious curated selection of cuisine and cocktails. It is a very nice and fun environment, ideal to relax at night. It is located on the ground floor of the hotel and is also available for visitors who aren’t staying there.

The service is friendly, laid back and the vibe is uniquely different, offering something for people with an eclectic and vintage eye.

360 Rooftop views 🌆

Drinking is fun. Drinking outside is more fun. Drinking outside on a rooftop, taking in skyline views both day and night, is inarguably the most fun.

Take a ride up the elevator (don't forget your room access key as it's the only way to get up there) to the top floor and immediately you're greeted with the stunning Fort Worth skyline and a bar. The bar currently has a limited selection of cocktails but you're able to get by with the basics (wine, beer, ranch water for me). It was a bit chilly outside so we were thankful for the various fire pits to keep us warm as we took in the views during the night.

The Marriott brand is obviously well-known as a leader in the hotel industry, but the Sinclair Hotel definitely exceeded our expectations! We loved how great all the staff were from the moment we walked through the front door each day.

We also loved how stylish this hotel is – the lobby, lounge areas, and even the hallways were b-e-a-utiful. My favorite part has to be the views from the rooftop lounge. And you can’t beat how comfortable the rooms are.

You can check the prices and get more information on The Sinclair hotel's website.

Until next time!
