Your New Favorite Holiday Beverage

I’m usually not one for sweet and sugary cocktails, I’ll take a dry red vino over a beautifully decorated martini any day. There’s something about the holidays though, that have you trying out new things. After all, how could I say no when this Pinterest-inspired cocktail called for iced coffee and Bailey’s Irish Creme? Talk about getting into some Holiday (Spirits).

Pun intended y’all.

This one is for you java lovers out there. Yes, this is an iced drink, but as a Texan this is totally accepted during our winters.

Ingredients

  • holiday songs

  • 4 ounces Baileys Original Irish cream liquor

  • 2 ounces vanilla flavored vodka

  • coffee ice cubes

  • additional 3/4 cup coffee, cold

Instructions

  1. Brew and freeze coffee into ice cubes overnight. I ended up making some fresh coffee the next day so my drink could have more in it, some recipes don’t include this, it’s all in the preference.

  2. Play your favorite Christmas music as you assemble all ingredients. Yes, music IS essential.

  3. Combine Irish cream liquor and vodka into a cocktail shaker (here is where you can choose to add additional coffee mentioned in Step 1) and stir. Fill a glass halfway with coffee ice cubes and add the mixture. Top with whipped cream or cinnamon.

Enjoy and keep being festive loves!
