Fall Date Night in Dallas, Texas
Looking for fall-inspired date night in Dallas? I got you covered.
F a l l is upon us! I’d say this season is one of my favorites…but as Stephen pointed out in the car ride to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, I have literally said that about all four seasons…
What’s not to love about Starbucks bringing the infamously deee-licious Pumpkin Spice Lattes back on their menu? Or being able to light up a large appropriately-autumnal candle as soon as you enter your apartment? Orrr, taking an afternoon stroll through a pumpkin patch taking in the crisp air + gorgeous foliage?!
Thank God for football season coinciding with the start of Fall so I am able to leverage leaving Sundays for the games and Saturdays for whatever holiday-themed dates I can dream up of!
I used to have my favorite pumpkin patch while living in Austin, TX but since I’ve moved up to DFW recently, I found myself needing to figure out a closer option. After doing research I stumbled across Autumn at the Arboretum, a fall festival inside the Dallas Arboretum.
Inside, it includes the nationally acclaimed Pumpkin Village featuring pumpkin houses and creative displays utilizing more than 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash along with hay bales and cornstalks.
90,000 variations of pumpkins and gourds!? My self-proclaimed inner Pumpkin Queen was sold. And let me tell you, the Pumpkin Village did not disappoint. It’s essentially where pumpkin dreams are made of. The Village takes visitors on a trip highlighting the book, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. You actually travel through a yellow brick road to visit every display!
Tickets are $15/adult and $15/car if you decide to park inside. You can also find other parking options across the street for less.
Pumpkin Patch dates are essential for the Fall Season. And as for that picture perfect date photo, usually there’s so many people walking around willing to take one of you all since they’ll probably end up asking you to take one as well. Quid pro quo!
